The basics

What is Masterpiece Market?
Make art in the studio, publish it, and sell it to other players. Buy art you love, build a collection, and show it off in your booth. You earn ArtBux (ABX) as you go.
Can I change the background music?
Yes, open the phone's Music app to pick a genre (each shuffles and loops), or build a Custom playlist by pasting Roblox audio IDs (up to 25). Free / open-use audio (from the Creator Store or shared music codes) plays here. A creator's private upload won't, and the app flags those. Set the music volume in the Settings menu under Audio.

Creating & publishing

Why wasn't my art approved?
Every piece is checked automatically the moment you publish, by an AI content filter, not a person. If it gets flagged you'll see "Not approved": the piece stays private and isn't listed. There's no manual review or appeal, so just start a new draft and try again, keeping it appropriate (no explicit, hateful, or shocking content). Your title is checked too, pick a clean one.
Who can publish and share art? (Why is publishing off for me?)
Sharing what you make with other players, publishing, listing for sale, trading, and gifting, follows Roblox's content rules. When you join, Masterpiece Market asks Roblox whether your account is allowed to share user-created content. Roblox decides that (it's usually based on your account's age setting), and it's checked on our server, not something a player or we can switch on. If your account isn't allowed to share, you can still draw, use every studio tool, save private drafts, and browse and buy other players' art, but publishing and the other sharing features are turned off for your account. And everything that IS shared is run through an automated content filter first, so the whole gallery stays safe.
Are my drafts saved?
Yes, your work auto-saves as you draw. You get 5 free draft slots for works-in-progress.
How many copies can a piece have?
Up to 50 editions. The original is #1. As the artist you can mint extra copies (#2, #50) for 20 Robux each when there's demand.

Buying & selling

What are ArtBux (ABX)?
The in-game currency. Earn it by selling your art, from royalties, from daily rewards, and by watching an ad. Spend it on other players' art, or on Spotlight to promote a listing of your own. Shop items, frames, inks, filters, booths, are bought with Robux instead.
How do I sell a piece?
Publish it, then put it up with "List for sale" and set your price. Buyers can grab it from Explore or your booth. Take it down anytime with "Take off sale".
Why isn't my listing showing in Explore?
Explore spreads its space across every artist, so only a couple of your listings appear at a time. The selection rotates every 15 minutes or so, which means a piece that is not there right now will get its turn. Everything you have listed stays buyable from your booth the whole time. A brand new publish can also take a little while to appear while the content check finishes.
What is Spotlight?
Pay 10% of your asking price, minimum 250 ABX, to pin a listing to the top of Explore for 6 hours, or until it sells. There are only a few spots for the whole game, so a Spotlight always costs at least that much however cheap the piece. You can run one at a time, and your price is locked while it runs, so the price buyers see is the price it sells for. Tap "Spotlight" next to "For Sale" on a piece you've listed.
What does the view count mean?
How many times someone opened your piece to look at it properly, not how many times it scrolled past. It counts for the life of the piece and only ever goes up. A piece nobody has opened yet just reads "Just went live".
What are royalties?
When someone resells a piece you created, you automatically earn 15% of that sale, for as long as it keeps changing hands. Your first sale of a piece pays you in full. Resales carry a small 8% market tax.
Why can't I list or display a piece?
A piece can't go up if it's still in review, if it wasn't approved, or if you don't own that edition.
How do I get more booth space?
Upgrade your venue with Robux: Starter Stall (3 slots) → Mini Booth (6) → Large Gallery (12) → Mansion (50).

Rewards

Do I claim my daily reward?
No, it's granted automatically each day you log in. Logging in on back-to-back days builds a streak for bigger rewards. Check the Streak app to see yours.

Help & feedback

How do I report a bug or suggest something?
This is a small beta run by one person, so the best way to reach me is the Masterpiece Market Community Discord, where I read every bug report and idea. (You'll find the link on the game's Roblox page.)
Is my art and progress safe?
Yes, everything you make and own is saved to your account. If something ever looks wrong, post in the Masterpiece Market Community Discord and I'll take a look.
